Hatha Yoga

Dragonfly Wellbeing offers a unique approach to Yoga by tailoring classes to individual student needs, unlike typical yoga classes that cater to the average person. This method prevents stagnation for experienced yogis and reduces injury risk for beginners. Promoting physical, emotional, and spiritual growth.

Denise teaches each posture starting a beginner level, then extending the posture for intermediate and advanced students. Based on Hatha and Iyengar teaching the fundamental principles like internal energy locks, anatomy, joint movements, basic postures, breathing techniques, and meditation.

Ashtanga Yoga

This class is for those who have a small amount of yoga experience onwards. Ashtanga Yoga is a system transmitted to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures in sequential unchanging order.

Ashtanga means eight limbs working on the philosophy of Patanjali’s yoga sutras. Vinyasa means breath synchronised movement. With correct breathing vinyasa links asana to asana in a precise order and is often termed yoga therapy as it purifies and strengthens your nervous system and vital life force energy. This class is a fairly demanding practise offering opportunity for to build strength, stamina and flexibility in addition to all other yoga benefits.

1-2-1 yoga

This is held in Fareham . Suitable if you wish to learn more about yoga on an individual level . These are ideal if you have any injury or illness and the class can be centred around the individual student .
